2011

  • 2011-12-09: All textual commentaries for Autobiography of Mark Twain, Volume 1 supplied as 413-page PDF concatenation; they continue to be available in HTML
  • 2011-10-14: Infrastructure added for displaying two or more published versions of a letter text (see e.g. UCCL 00340)
  • 2011-09-16: Keyword-in-context (KWIC) result toggle added to Letters; works best with text-based searches, e.g. howells
  • 2011-08-08: Corrected placement of some explanatory note markers throughout Autobiography of Mark Twain, Volume 1
  • 2011-07-25: XTF core files upgraded to 3.0
  • 2011-06-21: JavaScript bug fixed that impeded cross-reference links originating in the note pane; page anchors added to Huck and Tom among the Indians (1989) (formerly 1–261, 299–351; now 1–351) and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (2003) (formerly 1–362, 622–54; now 1–834, 994–1117: we regret that "Emendations and Historical Collation" cannot be paginated due to its encoding)
  • 2011-05-26: Corrections entered to Autobiography of Mark Twain, Volume 1 (2010) to match those applied to the printed edition
  • 2011-05-16: Corrections to annotation entered for five letters, four of which now recognize Frank Fuller’s second wife, Mrs. Annie Fuller: UCCL 02768, 02785, 01041, 01071, 01107

  • 2010-11-29: Images Catalog launched with small initial set of scanned photographs, search feature, browsable facets, and sortable and gallery views
  • 2010-10-18: Autobiography of Mark Twain, Volume 1 released, containing all materials in the printed book published by UC Press, plus approximately 200 pages’ worth of textual apparatus, as well as a color scan of the 23 Dec 1905 Harper’s Weekly special issue (accompanying the “Speech at the Seventieth Birthday Dinner” appendix)
  • 2010-10-15: Twenty-eight new letter texts 1872–75 released under the aggregate title Newly Recovered Letters, Part 1 for a total of fifty-four, listed chronologically here—UCCL 12774, 12657, 12784, 11981, 13094, 12773, 12791, 12655, 12311, 12163, 12436, 12698, 12793, 12794, 12795, 12797, 12798, 12800, 12805, 12806, 12807, 12808, 12816, 13001, 12799, 12741, 13107, 12878; note: extant annotation for related letters may be affected but has not been revised at this time
  • 2010-10-01: Letters catalog changes: serials and monographs added to catalogs under the Printed Version facet; to improve searchability, facet labels with "&" now use "and"; letter IDs may be retrieved with or without entry of their UCCL/UCLC prefix; in result and detail views, compound letter dates display in full
  • 2010-08-16: Twenty-six new letter texts 1862–71 released under the aggregate title Newly Recovered Letters, Part 1 and listed chronologically here—UCCL 12722, 11953, 12725, 12724, 12726, 10494, 11419, 12104, 12467, 12761, 12762, 12763, 12765, 12766, 12767, 12486, 12768 (with UCLC 50387), 12769, 12355, 13009, 12771, 12094, 12650, 12952, 12772, 12656; note: extant annotation for related letters may be affected but has not been revised at this time
  • 2010-08-12: 361 Letters catalog entries added (102 incoming, 259 outgoing); widespread catalog corrections released, including refinements to date written, expanded addressee names, newly identified senders and addressees
  • 2010-08-01: Letter text replaced for UCCL 00340, which is released under the aggregate title Newly Recovered Letters, Part 1; note: extant annotation for related letters may be affected but has not been revised at this time
  • 2010-07-28: Video clip commissioned by UC Press embedded in User Guide
  • 2010-05-12: Corrections to paragraph indention in more than 200 letters, primarily 1876–1880
  • 2010-03-28: Minor changes to static pages, including the home page

2009

  • 2009-10-05: Autobiography sample added; biography of Patrick McAleer corrected
  • 2009-05-01: UC Press imprint and MLA/CSE seal added
  • 2009-04-02: Minor corrections to layout (inline salutations) entered for 36 letters, 1853–1880; recipient identified for UCCL 12963
  • 2009-03-16: Otiose references removed (written for print) concerning "actual size" at which images have been reproduced, from 84 letters 1853–1875 and accompanying editorial documents
  • 2009-03-04: Facet enhancement for eleven letters previously provided with facsimile images; minor corrections to text, layout, and/or encoding entered for 27 letters
  • 2009-02-26: New letter text—UCCL 01062; facsimile view added for UCCL 12720
  • 2009-02-24: Illustrative images added to ten letters 1876–1880 (CU-MARK and courtesy CLjC, MoHH, TxU-HU, ViU): UCCL 01590, 01777, 01792, 01794, 01862, 09288, 11304, 11805, 12465, 12477
  • 2009-02-05: Minor corrections to text, annotation, and/or apparatus entered for 97 letters; also included: UCCL 01489's enclosure and an illustrative image for UCCL 11304 (courtesy KyHi)
  • 2009-01-20: Four new letter texts—UCCL 13079, 13081, 13093, 13105
