My book is really finished at last—every care is off my mind, everything is out of my way—so I have accepted the invitation to be at the Holmes breakfast.
I’ll bet a million my bed in your house has meantime been turned over to another; but if (on your honor) it hasn’t, & I won’t be incommoding you in the least, may I still come to you—say Dec. 2?
